Where AnyOne fits

Not every case needs a specialised implant. Where bone is adequate, the site is straightforward and there is no immediate-placement pressure, a conventional tapered implant does the job perfectly well, and generally costs less.

AnyOne is MegaGen's system for those cases. Choosing it over AnyRidge is not a downgrade; it is matching the implant to the situation. If your bone is sound, the aggressive knife-thread geometry of AnyRidge offers you little that AnyOne does not.

The question worth asking

Which system, and why

If your dentist offers both AnyRidge and AnyOne, ask which one and why. A good answer refers to your bone quality, the site, and whether the implant needs to grip immediately. An answer that refers only to price is incomplete, though price is a legitimate part of the discussion, and if AnyOne is clinically adequate for you, paying more for AnyRidge buys you nothing.

What our sources support

The MegaGen documents available to us are product catalogues, part numbers, components and dimensions, rather than clinical brochures. We can describe design intent and product structure accurately from them; we cannot cite MegaGen clinical outcome data, because these documents do not contain it. Independent research on MegaGen implants exists and is growing, but it is a smaller body of work than that behind the European premium brands.

Questions worth asking your dentist

  1. Why AnyOne rather than AnyRidge for my case?
  2. What is my bone quality at this site?
  3. What diameter and length are you planning?
  4. What is the price difference between MegaGen's systems here?
  5. How many of these have you placed?
  6. Will you record the system, platform, diameter and reference number in writing?
